AVRAMIDIS® blossom honey from Ikaria
This honey tastes like spring on Ikaria.
Our bees collect their nectar in the island’s wild landscapes – among fragrant herbs, flowering shrubs and the small plants that often grow between stone walls, olive groves and mountain slopes on Ikaria.
The result is a light honey with a delicate floral character and a pleasant, mild sweetness. Its flavour is soft and rounded, subtle enough to accompany tea, yoghurt, fresh bread or a warm breakfast without overpowering them.
AVRAMIDIS® blossom honey is carefully harvested and bottled by our beekeepers on Ikaria. To achieve its liquid consistency, it is gently warmed to a maximum of 40 °C. This preserves its natural aroma, original flavour and the delicate character of this special harvest.
For us, a spoonful is one of those small moments that can change a morning: fresh bread on the table, a cup of mountain tea in your hands and, for a moment, the feeling that Ikaria is close by.
Taste: mild, floral, delicate and pleasantly sweet
Origin: Ikaria, Greece
Character: light honey with a soft, delicate floral note
Harvest: carefully gathered by our beekeepers
Uses: with tea, yoghurt, bread, cheese or fruit, or to enhance dishes
Honey can crystallise over time. This is part of its natural development and reflects its original character. A gentle water bath at a low temperature will restore a more liquid consistency.
