AVRAMIDIS® pine & thyme honey from Ikaria
This honey carries the aromatic warmth of Ikaria’s landscape.
Our bees collect their nectar among pine trees, wild thyme and the fragrant herbs growing on Ikaria’s sunny slopes. This creates a distinctive honey with a delicate herbal note, pleasant sweetness and a warm, slightly resinous aroma.
AVRAMIDIS® pine & thyme honey is carefully harvested and bottled by our beekeepers on Ikaria. To achieve its liquid consistency, it is gently warmed to a maximum of 40 °C. This preserves its natural aroma, original flavour and the warm, aromatic character of this special harvest.
It tastes especially good with Greek yoghurt, on fresh bread, in warm tea, or as a delicate accompaniment to cheese and nuts.
Taste: aromatic, slightly resinous and pleasantly sweet
Origin: Ikaria, Greece
Character: pine trees, wild thyme and Ikarian herbs
Harvest: carefully gathered by our beekeepers
Uses: with tea, yoghurt, bread, cheese or nuts, or to enhance dishes
Honey can crystallise over time. This is part of its natural development and reflects its original character. A gentle water bath at a low temperature will restore a more liquid consistency.
